= Prayer in its proper time

Abdullah ibn Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I asked, “O Messenger of Allah (pbuh) which deed is best?” He said, “Prayer in its proper time.” I asked, “What is next?” The Prophet (pbuh) said, “Righteousness with your parents.” I said, “What is next?” He said, “Struggling in the cause of Allah.” I became silent and if I had asked him more, he would have told me.
