Why I converted to Islam: Van Doorn
TEHRAN, YJC. – Arnoud Van Doorn, former member of an anti-Islamic party of Netherland has given his reasons for conversion to Islam, and reactions by his co-partisans after his conversion, and Western accusations against Islam and his own recommendations to atheists.
The news about the conversion to Islam of Arnoud Van Doorn, former vice-chairman for Geert Wilders, famous Dutch anti-Islam politician, has great reverberations on the media.
Geert Wilders is famous for muslims through his PVV party notorious movie, Fitna, which has been commissioned against Prophet of Islam and Geerts had insulted Islam.
However, Mr. Arnoud, through studying Islamic sources, ultimately decided on conversion and posted in his Twitter page his ‘proclamation of his faith’ in Arabic and surprised everybody.

Arnoud, 46, is a well-mannered and gentle individual, and believes that Islamophobia in Europe emanates from Western media and governments attempts to present a dark image of Islam, and if people in Europe knew how Islam was beautiful and wise, they would inevitably have been converted.
In an interview to MNA English service, Arnoud expressed his interest to travel to Iran and other Islamic countries. He said he was looking forward to see Isfahan, Shiraz, and Qum.
Now the interview:
Question: If possible, first, let's talk a little about your reasons for accepting Islam. What happened that you’ve chosen to convert to Islam?
MNA: I have studied the Quran based on curiosity, starting about a year ago (after I left the PVV). Before that I’ve only heard negative stories about Islam. The more I was reading (also Sunnah, Hadith, etc.) the more I was convinced that the Islam is actually a beautiful and wise religion. I have had a religious education as a Christian, so I shared already a lot of values. It is easier to convert from a Christian to Islam then from a "non believer” because I was known with the profets, the angels and the discipline that is necessary within any religion.

MNA: You were a member of a party that is known to be an anti-Islamic party, and even a film was made against the Prophet by the party ordering. While it seems that such parties have not acquired an exact knowledge of Islam, why they have taken such a stance on Islam?
Van Doorn: I have never been "extreme right”, neither is the PVV in fact. But I had -like many people- prejudges about Muslims. Like they are all fanatics, oppressing women, intolerant and hostile against the Western society and violant. Wilders as a person is a friendly and amiable men. Some of his points like critics on the EU, the financial system, and the crisis are valid in my opinion. But I do not share his negative vision of the Islam and the Arabic World. It is stigmatizing all Muslims. Creating fear and polarising is an easy way to mobilise people, as it appeals on their "gut feeling”, prejudges and bias.
MNA: After converting to Islam, what was the reaction of your former co-workers in the party?
Van Doorn: I have not spoken with Geert Wilders since I left the PVV. I don’t know. I have had no feedback what so ever. As you leave the PVV you are basically "non excisting” anymore. Former colleagues are scared to have contact with me. It is not good for their career within the PVV if they do. (…)
MNA: If you were to invite a non-Muslim to Islam, what are the most important features that you would refer to?
Van Doorn: As I said before: study Islam, step over your prejudges, and you will see that the Islam is actually a beautiful and very pure religion, with a great history and high standards. We take care for each other in prosperity and adversity. It gives innerpeace and wisdom, and it deepends your spiritual live. Life is more than money and materialism (the typical "western success factor”). You will become a stronger and better person.

MNA: In the West, Islam is generally accused of promoting terrorism, anti-human rights issues or maltreatment of women. What is your response to these charges?
Van Doorn: Again: prejudgement is the cause, based on lack of knowledge. You can find fanatics in any religion, all over the world. Unfortunately the 1% fanatics are showed on tv and other newsmedia, and their influence is magnified. 99% of the Muslims is hardworking and peaceable. If more people will study the true Islam, the more people will see the beauty of it.
MNA: What do you think about the reasons behind some efforts to promote atheism in the world and what is your advice to those who are hesitant between belief and disbelief?
Van Doorn: I can only guess. The Western influencials and most politicians don’t like religion in any form. The less people belief, the more people are depending of other values, like economy, money, consumption and material prosperity. Western industrials want people basically to consume, instead of searching for inner strength. "Spending and consuming” should by the standard for happyness. "Believers” are stronger and less dependent of those issues. It is not in the interest of politicians and other influencials that people should become more independent of them and develop other insights. This is also what I tell them who are hesistant between belief and disbelief.
Finally:
I like to travel. I have been in Morocco (climbing the Toubkal in the snow), Algeria, Jordan and Egypt. I have friends in many countries. In june I am going to Iran accompanying a friend who is cycling around the world for 5 years. We will start at Shiraz, and we will cycle 2000 km across Iran into Turkey. I am looking forward to see Shiraz, Esfahan and Qom.

“I bear witness that there is no deity but Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and messenger”
By this phrase the ex-member of Geert Wilders’s right-wing anti-Islam Freedom Party, Arnoud van Doorn, surprisingly declared his conversion to Islam.
Via his account on the famous social networking site,Twitter, Arnoud announced in Dutch his ‘Nieuwe start’ (New start) as a Muslim. The news was confirmed in Dutch news as well.
The news is one of the latest breaking in the Netherlands.
Till the end of 2011, Arnoud van Doorn was a member of the fiery, far-right, anti-Islam, anti-immigration Partij voor de Vrijheid (PVV) Dutch party.
On February 27, 2013, Arnoud posted a tweet in Arabic declaring his Shahadah (Testimony of Faith): Ashhadu an-la ilaha illallah, wa ashhadu anna Muhammadan abduhu wa rasuluhu (I bear witness that there is no deity but Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and messenger).
The phrase is known as the First Pillar of Islam that in order for a person to be a Muslim this conviction is firstly needed.
Given his previous explicit views on Islam, Arnoud’s story was a shock to many who doubted and harshly criticized the announcement, which is still a subject of debate on twitter. In another tweet, he expressed his grief and discomfort with ‘the many hateful comments on social media’.
Arnoud account was deluged with hundreds of followers and positive comments backing and congratulating his choice. To them he posted a late tweet in both English and Arabic expressing his gratitude: ‘Thanks for all the support!’
In face of strong attacks on Twitter, Arnoud declined to comment on the reasons or circumstances behind his conversion, confirming that the choice is his own and that his religion was ‘a matter of privacy’.
He just stated that more details about his conversion will be released soon.
And it is…
In an interview with Al-Jazeera.net, Doorn made it quite certain confirming the truth of his conversion, and thus removing the spreading doubts about it.
‘Anyone who knows me closely can just predict the decision. For more than a year now I have been learning deeply about Islam through books and talks.
‘No doubt, other than those close, many are shocked by the decision, particularly those who know of my anti-Islam stands. And this is why they are questioning it.’
On the grounds for his decision Arnoud explained: ‘I’m a person who is looking beneath the surface of things, so I judge them not according to the appearance or just what’s said and heard.
‘After communicating with a Muslim colleague at The Hague’s city council- and after long discussions in fact- he directed me to the Sunni mosque where I was embraced with all kindness and affection. My decision came later as I freely embraced Islam. And it is one of my own, out of the question.”
And on quitting a party known with its open enmity against Islam, and being at time one of its voices, Doorn said: ‘We all make mistakes. But, regardless of that, I see for every life experience there’s a meaning. And my own experience has its relevance to my new choice.’
‘ I’ve learned so much from such experience. And I believe it is the reason why I am a Muslim now. It is a new beginning of my life I ask God to guide me through’, He concluded.
Certainly, guidance is from Allah (Exalted is He), and Arnoud is the very example.
We all welcome Arnoud to Islam and ask God to guide him to His right path.

Son of distributor of anti-Islam film Fitna accepts Islam

Arnoud van Doorn's son, Iskander Amien De Vrie, was one of the 37 people who converted to Islam during the Dubai International Peace Convention.
The son of Arnoud van Doorn, the famous Dutch policy maker and distributor of an anti-Islam film Fitna that caused unrest in 2008, surprised the audiences at the three-day Dubai International Peace Convention by
embracing Islam.
Arnoud’s son, Iskander Amien De Vrie, was one of the 37 people who converted to Islam during the convention.

“I bear witness that there is no God to be worshipped but Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad (peace be upon him) is his worshipper and last messenger,” said Iskander in his Shahadah (testimony) to become a Muslim.
Arnoud van Doorn shot to fame in 2008 as one of the names associated with the anti-Muslim film Fitna, which was released in 2008. The film promoted misconceptions about Islam and Arnoud was one of the film’s distributors.
Five years later, Arnoud was a changed man having learned more about Islam, which he today calls as ‘a religion of peace’. He converted to Islam after learning more about the religion and his decision shocked the world.
“I saw my father become more peaceful after converting to Islam. That’s when I realised there is something good in this religion and it made me change my perception of Muslims. I started studying the Holy Quran and going through lectures of important scholars,” said Iskander in an interview with Khaleej Times.
Iskander, 22, credited his college friend Younis for setting a good example of what Muslims
really are and how they live their life. “My friend Younis is a good practicing Muslim who taught me something new every day. He was patient with me and there was no way I could be rude to him,” said Iskander.
Iskander also drew inspiration from his father’s life and how he underwent a transformation to become a more peaceful person.
Talking about the anti-Islamic movie Fitna, Arnoud called it a “mistake”, which he deeply regretted. “There is a misconception among people that I produced the movie Fitna, but I wasn’t involved in it. I was only responsible for distributing the movie. Today, it is something that I deeply regret.”
Arnoud hopes to produce a movie about the righteousness preached in Islam and correct his earlier “mistakes”. “I feel an urge and a responsibility to correct the mistakes I have done in the past. I want to use my talents and skills in a positive way by spreading the truth about Islam. I am trying to make a new movie about Islam and the life of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). It would show people what examples the Prophet set in his life and the
movie would invite younger
people to Islam.”
With both the father and son now leading life as Muslims, the astonishing story was talked about by speakers and scholars even after the convention was over.
Arnoud is now calling on people to support his Islamic Foundation, which is fighting Islamophobia in Europe. Having started the European Dawah Foundation, Arnoud has come a full circle from his earlier days as a member of the right-wing anti-Islam Freedom Party.
His team of volunteers works towards bridging the gap between Muslims and non-Muslims and helping people clear their misconceptions about Islam.
Iskander now plans to take a trip to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah and hopes his mother would also embrace Islam soon.

Muslim American reports
in the Arab press indicate that Muslim proselytizing efforts have been
unusually successful since the September 11 attacks. 'Alaa Bayumi,
Director of Arab Affairs at the Council for American-Islamic Relations
(CAIR), wrote in the London daily Al-Hayat that "non-Muslim Americans
are now interested in getting to know Islam. There are a number of
signs...: Libraries have run out of books on Islam and the Middle East...
English translations of the Koran head the American best-seller list...
The Americans are showing increasing willingness to convert to Islam since
September 11... Thousands of non-Muslim Americans have responded to
invitations to visit mosques, resembling the waves of the sea [crashing on
the shore] one after another... All this is happening in a political
atmosphere that, at least verbally, encourages non-Muslim Americans'
openness towards Muslims in America and in the Islamic world, as the
American president has said many times in his speeches..."(1)

Awad told the Saudi paper 'Ukaz that "34,000 Americans have converted
to Islam following the events of September 11, and this is the highest
rate reached in the U.S. since Islam arrived there."(2)
According to Dr. Walid A.
Fatihi, instructor of medicine at Harvard Medical School, Boston has
recently become a center of Islamic proselytizing aimed at Christians. On
September 22, 2001, Al-Fatihi sent a letter to the Egyptian weekly
Al-Ahram Al-Arabi, in which he described the unfolding of events since
September 11: "...From the first day, the media began to insinuate
that Muslim Arab hands were behind this incident. At noon, the directors
and administration of the Islamic Center of Boston held an emergency
meeting, and I stayed on the line with them from my clinic. We decided to
hold a blood drive, and we set up a committee to contact the Red Cross and
organize it for us. We invited the media to cover the event..."
"All of us tried to
grab onto every scrap of information that would indicate that Muslim Arab
hands were not involved in the loathsome crime. Yes, my brothers and
sisters, we tried to prove our humanity on the day we found ourselves
attacked from all sides. Our hearts bled and our spokesman said that
proselytizing in the name of Allah had been set back 50 years in the U.S.
and in the entire world..."
"On Saturday,
September 15, I went with my wife and children to the biggest church in
Boston, [Trinity Church in] Copley Square, by official invitation of the
Islamic Society of Boston, to represent Islam by special invitation of the
senators of Boston. Present were the mayor of Boston, his wife, and the
heads of the universities. There were more than 1,000 people there, with
media coverage by one of Boston's main television stations. We were
received like ambassadors. I sat with my wife and children in the front
row, next to the mayor's wife. In his sermon, the priest defended Islam as
a monotheistic religion, telling the audience that I represented the
Islamic Society of Boston."
"After the sermon
was over, he stood at my side as I read an official statement issued by
the leading Muslim clerics condemning the incident [i.e. the attacks]. The
statement explained Islam's stance and principles, and its sublime
precepts. Afterwards, I read Koran verses translated into English... These
were moments that I will never forget, because the entire church burst
into tears upon hearing the passages of the words of Allah!!"
"Emotion swept over
us. One said to me: 'I do not understand the Arabic language, but there is
no doubt that the things you said are the words of Allah.' As she left the
church weeping, a woman put a piece of paper in my hand; on the paper was
written: 'Forgive us for our past and for our present. Keep proselytizing
to us.' Another man stood at the entrance of the church, his eyes teary,
and said, 'You are just like us; no, you are better than us.'" (3)
"On Sunday,
September 16, the Islamic Society of Boston issued an open invitation to
the Islamic Center in Cambridge, located between Harvard and MIT. We did
not expect more than 100 people, but to our surprise more than 1,000
people came, among them the neighbors, the university lecturers, members
of the clergy, and even the leaders of the priests from the nearby
churches, who invited us to speak on Islam. All expressed solidarity with
Muslims. Many questions flowed to us. Everyone wanted to know about Islam
and to understand its precepts."
"Of all the
questions, not a single one attacked me; on the contrary, we saw [the
people's] eyes filling with tears when they heard about Islam and its
sublime principles. Many of them had never heard about Islam before. Well,
they had heard about Islam only through the biased media. That same day, I
was invited again to participate in a meeting in the church, and again I
saw the same things. On Thursday, a delegation of 300 students and
lecturers from Harvard visited the center of the Islamic Society of
Boston, accompanied by the American Ambassador to Vienna. They sat on the
floor of the mosque, which was filled to capacity. We explained to them
the precepts of Islam, and defended it from any suspicions [promulgated in
the media]. I again read to them from the verses of Allah, and [their]
eyes filled with tears. The audience was moved, and many asked to
participate in the weekly lessons for non-Muslims held by the Islamic
Center..."
"On Friday,
September 21, the Muslims participated in a closed meeting with the
governor of Massachusetts. In the meeting, a discussion was held on
introducing Islam into the school curriculum, to inform the [American]
people and to fight racism against Muslims arising from the American
people's ignorance regarding the religion. With the governor's support,
measures to examine implementation of this goal were agreed upon..."
"These are only some
of the examples of what happened and is happening in the city of Boston,
and in many other American cities, during these days. Proselytizing in the
name of Allah has not been undermined, and has not been set back 50 years,
as we thought in the first days after September 11. On the contrary, the
11 days that have passed are like 11 years in the history of proselytizing
in the name of Allah. I write to you today with the absolute confidence
that over the next few years, Islam will spread in America and in the
entire world, Allah willing, much more quickly than it has spread in the
past, because the entire world is asking, 'What is Islam!'(4)
Fatihi's reports of
American Christians' crying upon hearing Koranic verses have an historical
context. This type of narrative is about part of the ethos of Islamic
proselytizing. It comes from the tradition of the Prophet Muhammad's
invitation to the Christian community of Najran, located in what is today
North Yemen, to visit the mosque. When the Christians of Najran were
exposed to the verses of the Koran, the tradition says they burst into
tears and converted to Islam.
Fatihi also published an
article in the London daily Al-Hayat:
"...There are
initial signs that the intensive campaign of education about Islam has
begun to bear fruit. For example, the rate of converts to Islam since
September 11 has doubled… There is solidarity with the Muslims on the
part of many non-Muslims in American universities. For example, dozens of
non-Muslim American women students at Wayne [State] University… have put
on veils as a symbol of identification with the Muslim women students at
the university and at the other universities of America."
"One of the most
important topics [in an NPR broadcast] was an interview with several young
women at American universities who recently converted to Islam through the
Islamic Society of Boston. They hold advanced degrees from universities in
Boston, such as Harvard, and they spoke of the power and the greatness of
Islam, of the elevated status of women in Islam, and of why they converted
to Islam. The program was broadcast several times across the entire
U.S..." (5)

we
Muslims have evidences and proves that we have the truth , But who care
to listen and to go check it out , when I tell a clear evidence like
how Mohammed in 600 AD to have a full Knowledge of new discovered theory
that no one have the tools or the resources to discover it at that time
, like the Black Holes , the Universe Expanding and the Pulsars star or
the Knocking star , and the water have started the life on the dead
earth , and how the universe all was one thing and then exploded
and scattered , and the atom , and How quran talked in details about
the human embryology and big scientist in this Science have proven that
this information was Scientifically accurate , how a man at that era
could have come up with this kind of scientific information , the quran
told us that this kind of Miracles is for the ones who understand it ,
it's not for Mohammed era it's for us to check it .. I don't want to
Insult anyone in the matter of fact we love Jesus and we Believe in Him
and we love him just as same as we Love Mohammed , and we Love Moses too
the same way , but can they do the same to us , did you ever hear a
muslim talked Bad about Jesus or cursed Him or disrespected him , we
don't and we can't and we can't even Curse any other religion

KHUTBAH TERAKHIR KETIKA HAJI WADA’
Pada tanggal lapan Zulhijah, Rasulullah SAW berangkat ke Arafah melalui
Mina dan tinggal sehingga terbitnya matahari pada Sembilan Zulhijah.
Dengan menaiki unta, baginda berangkat ke Arafah. Pada hari Arafah,
Rasulullah SAW menyampaikan khutbah umum di tengah-tengah kaum Muslimin
yang sedang berkumpul untuk wuquf. Berikut adalah teks khutbah Baginda
ketika Haji Wada’,
“Wahai manusia, dengarkanlah apa yang hendakku katakan ini. Mungkin
inilah tahun terakhirku dan tidak akan berjumpa dengan kalian semua di
sini untuk selama-lamanya. Hai manusia, sesungguhnya darah dan harta
benda kamu adalah suci bagi kamu (tidak boleh di cerobohi oleh sesiapa
pun) seperti hari dan bulan yang suci di negeri kamu ini. Ketahuilah
segala bentuk kelakuan dan tindakan bebas orang Jahiliah juga tidak
boleh berlaku lagi. Tindakan menuntut bela atas kematian seseorang
sebagaimana yang berlaku di masa Jahiliah juga tidak boleh berlaku lagi.
Tindakan pembalasan Jahiliah yang ku maksudkan ialah tindakan
pembalasan di atas kematian Ibnu Rabi’ah bin Al-Harits. Riba Jahiliah
tidak boleh berlaku di dalam Islam dan riba yang ku maksudkan tidak
berlaku ialah riba seperti riba Abbas bin Abdul Mutallib iaitu menuntut
bunga yang di hutang oleh orang-orang yang berhutang. Sesungguhnya
segala jenis riba tidak boleh berlaku lagi.”
“Hai manusia, di negeri kamu ini syaitan sudah putus asa sama sekali
untuk dapat di sembah lagi. Akan tetapi dia masih menginginkan selain
dari itu. Dia akan merasa puas bila kamu melakukan perbuatan yang
serendah-rendah perbuatan (maksiat). Kerana itu hendaklah kamu sentiasa
berhati-hati dan jaga nama baik-baik agama kamu!”
“Hai manusia, sesungguhnya menangguhkan berlakunya bulan suci akan
menambah besar kekufuran. Dengan itulah orang-orang kafir akan menjadi
sesat. Pada tahun yang sama mereka melanggar dan pada tahun lain mereka
sucikan untuk disesuaikan dengan hitungan yang telah ditetapkan
kesuciannya oleh Allah SWT. Kemudian mereka menghalalkan apa yang
diharamkan oleh Allah SWT dan mereka mengharamkan apa yang dihalalkan
oleh Allah SWT.”
“Sesungguhnya zaman berganti zaman, sepeti berlakunya masa Allah SWT
menciptakan langit dan bumi. Setahun mempunyai dua belas bulan. Empat
bulan antaranya adalah bulan-bulan suci iaitu tiga bulan berturut-turut
Zulkaedah, Zulhijah, Muharram dan bulan Rejab (antara bulan Jamadil
Akhir dan Sya’ban.)
“Takutlah Allah SWT dalam memperlakukan kaum wanita kerana kamu
mengambil mereka sebabai amanah Allah SWT dan kehormatan mereka di
halalkan bagi kamu dengan nama Allah SWT. Sesungguhnya kamu mempunyai
hak ke atas isteri-isteri kamu dan mereka mempunyai hak ke atas kamu
juga. Hak kamu ke atas mereka ialah mereka sama sekali tidak boleh
memberi masuk sesiapa pun orang yang kamu tidak sukai ke dalam rumah
kamu. Jika mereka melakukan kesalahan, pukullah mereka dengan pukulan
yang tidak membahayakan. Sedangkan hak mereka ke atas kamu ialah
seharusnya mereka diberi nafkah dan pakaian kepada mereka dengan
sebaik-baiknya.” “Maka perhatikanlah apa yang ku katakan ini, wahai
manusia sesungguhnya aku telah sampaikan. Aku tinggalkan sesuatu kepada
kamu, yang jika kamu berpegang teguh, kamu tidak akan tersesat
selama-lamanya iaitu Al Quran dan Sunnah Nabinya. Wahai manusia,
dengarkanlah dan taatilah sekali pun kamu dipeintah atau disuruh seorang
hamba sahaya dari Habsyah yang berhidung pesek, selama mana ia
menjalankan perintah Kitabullah kepada kamu.”
“Berbuat baiklah kepada hamba-hamba kamu… berilah mereka makanan apa
yang kamu makan dan berilah pakaian dari jenis pakaian yang sama dengan
apa yang kamu pakai. Jika mereka melakukan kesalahan yang tidak boleh
kamu maafkan, maka juallah hamba-hamba Allah SWT itu dan janganlah kamu
menyeksa mereka. Wahai manusia, dengarkanlah apa yang ku katakan dan
perhatikanlah! Kamu tahu bahawa setiap orang muslim adalah bersaudara
kepada muslim yang lain dan semua kaum muslimin adalah bersaudara.
Seseorang pun tidak dibenarkan mengambil hak dari saudaranya kecuali
yang telah diberikan kepadanya dengan senang hati, kerana itu janganlah
kamu menzalimi diri sendiri.” “Ya Allah! adakah sudah ku sampaikan? Kamu
akan menemui Allah, maka janganlah kamu kembali sesudahku menjadi
sesat, sebahagian kamu memukul tengkuk sebahagian yang lain. Hendaklah
orang-orang yang hadir pada hari ini menyampaikan kepada orang yang
tidak hadir, mungkin sebahagian mereka yang menerima khabar lebih
memahami daripada orang yang mendengar. Kamu akan di Tanya mengenai aku,
maka apakah yang akan kamu hendak jawabkan?” “Mereka menjawab, “kami
bersaksi bahawa engkau telah menyampaikan risalah, telah menunaikan
amanah dan memberi nasihat.” Kemudian seraya menunjukkan ke arah langit
dengan jari telunjuknya. Nabi SAW bersabda, “Ya Allah saksikanlah (tiga
kali).”
Nabi Muhammad SAW terus tinggal di Arafah hingga matahari terbenam. Pada
ketika terbenamnya matahari, Nabi SAW beserta rombongannya berangkat ke
Muzdalifah. Seraya memberi isyarat dengan tangan kanannya, lalu Baginda
bersabda, “Wahai manusia, harap bertenang, harap bertenang.” Kemudian
baginda membuat Jamak Takhir solat Maghrib dan Isyak di Muzdalifah. Pada
malam itu, Nabi SAW bermalam di Muzdalifah kemudian sebelum terbit
matahari Baginda berangkat ke Mina, lalu melontar Jamratul Aqabah dengan
tujuh batu kecil seraya bertakbir dalam setiap lontaran. Setelah
selesai, Baginda pergi ke tempat penyembelihan lalu menyembelih 63
binatang sembelihan (Budnah). Kemudian baginda menyerahkan kepada Ali
untuk menyembelih bakinya hingga genap 100 ekor binatang sembelihan
itu.
Selepas itu Baginda naik kenderaannya dan berangkat ke Kaabah (ifadhah),
lalu mengerjakan solat Zohor di Mekah. Kemudian Baginda menziarahi Bani
Abdul Mutallib yang sedang mengambil air zamzam lalu bersabda,
“Timbalah wahai Bani Abdul Mutallib, kalaulah tidak kerana orang-orang
tersebut bersama kamu, nescaya aku menimba bersama kamu.” Kemudian
Beliau memberikan setimba air kepada Rasulullah SAW dan Baginda meminta
izin untuk minum. Akhirnya Rasulullah SAW kembali berangkat ke Madinah.
